Tales from Kars: A Short Film

 “A Small Truth”

In 2007, the Ankara Cinema Association held a scenario competition titled “Tales from Kars” in which five stories by Özcan Alper, Zehra Derya Koç, Ülkü Oktay, Ahu Öztürk ve Emre Akay were chosen and featured.

This compilation, also titled the “Tales from Kars” was shown in festivals all over the world, from Istanbul to Rotterdam to Boston. Each story in this compilation contains a different style and was crafted by a different director.  “A Small Truth” is one of these scenarios and is featured on TATV.

Akay, the young director of this skit, was born in 1978. He recorded his first feature film, “A Film by Tugra Kaftancioglu” with Hasan Yalaz in 2008.
