AWARD-WINNING TURKISH RESTAURANT WEEK RETURNS – SEPTEMBER 12 – 20, 2015

Washingtonians will please their taste buds with Turkish cuisine, one of the most diverse and most delicious culinary cultures of the world

Washington, DC (August 24, 2015) – The American-Turkish Association of Washington D.C. (ATA-DC) is excited to present the seventh Annual Turkish Restaurant Week, a week-long celebration of Turkish cuisine taking place on Saturday, September 12 through Sunday, September 20, 2015 during the fourth Turkish Heritage Month.

Turkish Restaurant WeekTurkish culinary culture is renowned for its diversity of resources, fresh ingredients and variety of recipes that were influenced by Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. During Turkish Restaurant Week, diners will explore this authentic cuisine with a special three-course prix fixe lunch ($18) and four-course prix fixe dinner ($30) at Washington’s top Turkish restaurants including Ankara Restaurant, Ezme Restaurant and Zaytinya.

“Selected as the ‘Best Culinary Event’ of 2014 in Washington City Paper’s “Best of DC” contest, Turkish Restaurant Week has become one of the sought-after events of the city’s fall event calendar because people have the opportunity to enjoy this rich and varied cuisine for very reasonable prices in exciting restaurants.” said Hande Ayan, Turkish Restaurant Week Chair. “During this week, the most outstanding Turkish Restaurants in the D.C. area will offer their culinary arts and specialities and diners will engage with Turkish culinary heritage and culture once again”.

As a part of the 2015 Turkish Heritage Month, Turkish Festival of Washington D.C. which is a free, fun-filled, daylong celebration of Turkish culture, will be hosting the participating local Turkish restaurants and caterers again on September 27, 2015. During this day, kabobs, vegetarian dishes, pastries, desserts and grocery goods will be available for purchase.
