Teens Dream Annual Celebration

Celebrate Teens Globally on Sustainable Development Goals!

On Sept 30th 2017, Teens Dream hosted its 3rd annual celebration honoring the 2016 winners of its video competition celebrating teens who express their dreams as they relate to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

William and Ronan from France on addressing food waste, Elizabeth from the UK on peace through equality, Harrison and Charlie from California on beach clean up, Adri from Georgia on quality education, Austin from Connecticut on better relations between cops and citizens, Sophia from Maryland on entertainment for change, Sanjana from California on helping girls get into programming, Max from New Zealand on cleaning up rivers, and Grand Prize winner Elena from the United Kingdom on responsible consumption and production!  All of them were matched with amazing mentors and virtual Dream Hubs are being developed to connect teens around the SDGs globally here.

The celebration, led by Teens Dream teen co creators and attended by over 85 people, honored each of the 9 winners by showcasing their videos and hearing their comments along with their mentors.  This was followed by table top conversations about each of their dreams and a song created by last year’s grand prize winner JAYO and this year’s winner Sophia Alfred which kicked off this year’s competition!

The Teens Dream goal is to connect teens to work for change around each of the SDGs.

Teens around the globe can now submit to the Teens Dream video competition up until Jan 5th 2018 here where teens relate their dreams in a short 2 minute video to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.   You can watch a rap promo video about the SDGs created by last year’s grand prize winner JAYO.
