How to Schedule Your Appointment to Vote

Turkish citizens residing in the U.S began to make their appointments to vote on Monday, July 21. The last day to schedule an appointment to vote is 10 a.m. EST Friday, July 25.

Voters will only be able to vote on their appointment day scheduled for one of four days between July 31 and August 3. Appointments can be made online at www.ysk.gov.tr.

The online appointment system will assign the appointment day automatically for voters, who do not get their appointments before Friday, July 25. Voters can learn their assigned appointment day starting on Saturday, July 26 by visiting www.ysk.gov.tr and going to the “Nerede Oy Kullanacağım” section.

Voters, who do not cast their votes on their assigned appointment day, will not be able to vote on other election days.

Voters should note their appointment day, time and the ballot box number before coming to the polling stations.

Voters should bring their Turkish passports or Turkish identity cards (nüfus cüzdanı) that shows national identity number (T.C. Kimlik no) when coming to polling stations on their assigned appointment day.

Voting at the Ports of Entry

Voters, who cannot vote on their appointment day, can cast their ballots only at the ports of entry in Turkey. Turkish citizens can vote at the ports of entry between July 26and August 10 during the first round of election. In the case of the second round of election, voting will take place on August 17-24at the ports of entry.

Turkish citizens, who are registered in the overseas electoral roll and who will be in Turkey during abovementioned dates, will not be required to enter and exit the country to be able to vote at a port of entry determined by the Supreme Electoral Council.
