Turkish American Television covers “A Dream….But Not Yours: Contemporary Art From Turkey” a special exhibition of modern Turkish women’s art at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) in Washington, D.C.

You will see highlights from the show, scenes from the V.I.P. opening reception, as well as interviews with both Jordana Pomeroy, NMWA head curator, and the Esra Sargedki, curator of the show. TATV was delighted to cover the show which made an important contribution toward increasing awareness of Turkish culture and Modern Turkish Women’s Art in America.

We speak with Hilmi Akil, U.S. representative of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) which continues to struggle for it’s independence in spite of political and economic obstacles in its way.
